Kalapremi has been promoting diverse arts since its inception. The first of the diverse artists to grace Kalapremi was the first true modern poet and lyricist from South India, Sri Sri in 1981. Following his tour, Kalapremi has worked with innumerable artists from theatre exponents, micro artists – art work on rice grains, philosophers, photographers, sculptures and mural artists. The successful collaboration with EDAN (East Durham Artists Network) also gives us an opportunity to support and promote visual artists in Britain. Working with museums and art galleries widens our scope to reach out diverse audiences interested in diverse art forms.
