Arts and Faith
This project supports, promotes and explores the relationship between the faith and arts. We understand that music, art and drama are used to express aspects of faith. We provide opportunities to our audiences to experience how certain art forms can be used to express feelings, emotions and intentions and to learn how these are used to express one’s faith
Annual Ganesh Festival
The Annual Ganesh Festival, started in 1990 is a day-long event, well-attended and appreciated by all. Developing workshops for young people leading to the festival is a key idea of the festival. We engage with schools on diverse art workshops relating to the Hindu faith encouraging inter-faith dialogues with young people. Ganesh is an elephant-headed deity, revered for intelligence and prosperity. Keeping this theme young people produce art work and showcase the same at the festival.
Indian Mural Art
We worked with Mrs. Kanaka Murthy, the only traditional woman sculptor in India, who explored Hindu faith through the medium of Mural art and sculptures.
